Bursitis Shoulder
Inflammation of subacromial bursa is a frequently reported cause of shoulder joint pain. Due to the 3-dimensional motion across the shoulder joint, the risk of wear and tear related damage to delicate tendons and muscles is very high.
What is Bursitis Shoulder?
In the shoulder, as well as around the body, there are tiny sacs of fluid called bursa, which are like cushions between your bones and the moving tendons and muscles. When one of these sacs fill up with fluid and become more inflamed, this is called bursitis. When this happens in the shoulder, this is ‘Shoulder Bursitis’ or ‘Subacromial Bursitis’.
